Grateful Dead tribute band to rock the Covellite Theater this Saturday Night
The corner of Idaho and Broadway streets on Saturday night may resemble the corner of Haight and Ashbury in San Francisco on any given night during the Summer of Love as one of Montana's premiere Grateful Dead tribute acts takes the stage at Butte's Covellite Theater. 710 Ashbury, a 4-piece band out of Helena will play at 7pm and they have been getting rave reviews all across Southwest Montana.
"Though the traditional Grateful Dead lineup had a couple more people, 710 Ashbury definitely gets the feeling and meanings of the songs, leaving dance floors full of sweaty, smiling faces wherever they play." - Brian Ripple — Bozeman Magazine
““They’re spectacular!” said one happy fan. “They’ve got ‘the sound.’”” - Marga Lincoln (reported in Helena Independent Record)
"The band plays the Dead's music very authentically." - Dan Nichols, Soul Tree Recording and Sound — Marga Lincoln, Helena IR
All of 710 Ashbury's members are dedicated musicians with a knack for improvisation, just as the band they emulate. While they realize that it is impossible to recreate the full magic of Jerry Garcia, Phil Lesh and crew, they certainly capture their energy. Take a look.
This is a band you need to see live and there will be a big price jump on the day of the show, so get your tickets early. Advance tickets are $8 and are available through this link. Admission will rise to $15 on the day of the show.
Support live music and attend this Saturday's Show. The Covellite Theater is located at 215 W. Broadway in Historic Uptown Butte.
