Late Spring in Butte is in full bloom
The last few weeks of Spring in Southwest Montana is always a time to behold for those who appreciate our area's natural splendor. The spring bloom is on for our area's serviceberry, chokecherry, hawthorn trees and more, albeit for a couple of weeks, so we must appreciate it while we can. Butte has certainly got her fair share of gorgeous trees and spring flowers and man, do they look good this year. Here is a look at some of the beautiful trees that are in full bloom across the Mining City.
The improvements that have been made to the Copper King Hotel and Convention Center over the past couple of years are not limited to the inside. You will find some gorgeous landscaping and beautiful trees along this south part of Harrison Avenue. Head to the other end of town and you'll find some beautiful trees along West Park Street on your way to Montana Tech. This little tree corridor blends in nicely with the East Ridge as the backdrop.
We found several more beauties on Park Street, a pair in front of the Tech Library and one peeking out over a parking lot across from Butte Central High School.
Another sure sign of early summer in Butte is not only that the McDonald's waterfall is running but that the beautiful trees alongside the drive thru are out in full splendor.
It will be hard, though, to top the beauty of the trees in the Field of Honor are in front of the Belmont Mine Headframe.
Do you have a tree in your yard that is worth a picture or some impressive garden shrubbery or decorations? This small sampling barely scratches the surface of some of the beautiful scenery all across the Mining City. If you've got something that you are proud of, please send your photos along with your name to tommyo@townsquaremedia.com for consideration in a future gallery.
