Although our first "official" summer weekend may have been a bit cooler and wetter than we may have imagined, activities in Butte did not slow down even slightly as another huge Saturday Uptown Farmer's Market took place early and later in the evening Butte Tin Shop celebrated their 100th anniversary with a huge block party.  Coming later this week, the debut of the new "downtown" Farmer's Market at Clark Park will take place on Thursday and Colt Anderson's "Dream Big Montana Experience" will round out the week with concerts, a football skills camp and a glitzy social at Metal's Sports Bar that people have been waiting weeks for.  Coming up, we have the Freedom Fest along with the huge fireworks show and parade, we have the Montana Folk Festival shortly thereafter and still have An Ri Ra and several smaller events to look forward to.

Butte certainly has an abundance of events and attractions, that you did know, but you may not know that there is grant money available to organizations that bring people to town but more importantly events that put people in local hotel rooms.  Did you know about the TBID grant? The purpose of this program is to increase overnight visitation in Butte Montana and support Butte lodging partners. Other partners such as local retailers, restaurateurs, transportation businesses, and tourism attractions also benefit from increased visitation.

Are you involved or know someone who is part of an event that brings visitors to Butte overnight?  You may be eligible for TBID grant money, but the application deadline is June 30th.  Further information can be found here.
