There is no place like Uptown Butte on St. Patrick’s Day
St. Patrick's Day is here and there is no better place to be in Montana than Butte, America. Many will argue this is the best St. Patrick's Day celebration this side of Dublin itself. While revelers are not uncommon early in the morning, things officially get underway at noon with the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Uptown Butte starting on Granite and Wyoming streets. A big shout out to the Butte America Foundation for making the parade possible again this year.
After the parade, Uptown will be crawling with people so please drive carefully if you are anywhere in the area and if you are celebrating do not even think of driving. It's not worth it.
If you are taking part in the festivities after the parade, you'll probably find yourself at one of the Uptown pubs, all of which will be incredibly busy so please be patient with workers and with those around you. Here are some of Uptown's best places to get a green beer or maybe even a Guinness or a shot of Jameson's.
If you're looking for a big party with live music, The Covellite will be hosting 5 bands on 2 stages throughout the afternoon and into the evening.
Please be safe this St. Patrick's Day in Uptown Butte.
