To celebrate National Community Health Center Week, Blacktail Health, southwest Montana’s community health center, is hosting a screening of the Disney Pixar movie, Inside Out, at the Covellite Theatre and Uptown Lounge in Butte on Saturday, August 8.
Doors open at 6:30 with the show starting at 7. The event is free and open to everyone. Popcorn will be provided, and Covellite's concessions will be open. This community event is a fun way to highlight the importance of mental health. It also allows Blacktail Health to educate the community about all the services offered at the health center, including counseling.
“We hope everyone can join us on August 8 at the Covellite Theatre at 7 for Inside Out,” said BreAnna Matich from Blacktail Health. “It’s our thank you to the community we love.”
National Health Center Week runs from August 2-8, 2026, to honor and celebrate the essential work of Community Health Centers. Community health centers, also known as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), are local, nonprofit clinics that provide comprehensive primary care and preventive services to everyone, regardless of their insurance status or ability to pay. Blacktail Health believes in providing quality care from a complete team of professionals and in offering the kind of personal attention that makes you feel confident you belong.
“We are proud to be more than just a healthcare provider,” said Tammy Cox, Blacktail Health's Executive Director. “We are a trusted community partner, collaborating closely with local schools, hospitals, employers, and government agencies to address barriers to care. We deliver patient-centered services for a wide range of health needs throughout our patients' lives—from pediatrics to geriatrics. Every team member is dedicated to treating patients with dignity, respect, and compassion.”
The nation’s first health Community Health Centers opened in 1965 to increase access to primary care by reducing barriers such as cost, lack of insurance, and distance for patients. Now more commonly known as Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), over 1,500 organizations operate at more than 17,000 sites, providing affordable health care to 52 million people in the US. That’s 1 in 7 nationwide, and 1 in 3 rural residents. In Montana, 19 organizations operate nearly 100 sites in rural communities, schools, and other needed locations.
Blacktail Health is a comprehensive healthcare provider serving insured, uninsured, and underinsured patients. The organization offers services on a sliding fee scale for those who qualify, ensuring care is accessible and affordable. Each year, Blacktail Health serves nearly 13,000 patients through clinics in Butte, Anaconda, and Dillon. To learn more, visit blacktailhealth.org.
