Thursday’s Music on Main event will be at The Covellite
If you haven't been Uptown to enjoy Butte's weekly Music on Main series of food, family and fun, you're missing out. But then again, judging by the absolutely insane crowds that have made it there, you very well may be in the minority. Check out this great video that Nina Jean from The Covellite put together from last Thursday's performance with High Ore Road.
As you can see, the entire street was rockin', even though the weather was a bit smoky. The good news is that a thunderstorm that is forecast for Thursday afternoon and evening could clear the air a little bit. The bad news is that the same storm could wreak havoc on the Music on Main crowd. We saw it happen a few weeks ago when Tylor and the Train Robbers got hit with a powerful Thursday evening storm.
MUSIC ON MAIN MOVED TO THE COVELLITE
With one of the region's top musicians coming to town, this show is not one to take chances with. Jeff Crosby, a Music on Main veteran and guitar virtuoso is scheduled to perform here again on Thursday and rather than risk a rainout, festivities have been moved to The Covellite at 215 W. Broadway. Although The Covellite is an alternate site for Music on Main, this may actually be a step up as far as the production of Crosby's show goes. The Covellite is more or less home base for Music on Main's sound crew and when a musician of Crosby's caliber comes to town you can count on not only great sound but more lighting and effects. If you have not seen a show at The Covellite before, you are going to love the venue.
FOOD TRUCKS AND KIDS ACTIVITIES WILL GO ON
Food trucks and your favorite vendors will be set up around The Covellite and there will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages available as well as complimentary Shirley Temples for the kids.
