Get out your calendar, go ahead, ill wait.

Now jump to Saturday, June 17th, and write in big block letters PHILLIPSBURG ALL DAY.

Blues, Brews, and Barbeque is scheduled for that day in the Burg. The event is a fundraiser for the Philipsburg Ice Association in downtown, historic Philipsburg.

The Philipsburg Ice Association was formed in 2013, by a group of individuals who wanted to bring the ability to teach ice sports, activities, and sportsmanship to the youth and adults in and around Philipsburg. Over the last decade, the ice association has built a youth hockey program, an annual pond hockey tournament, an adult pickup hockey league, and a whole lot more. The Philipsburg Ice Association does an incredible amount of good for the Burg over the winter months, and now we get to help them by enjoying local brews, with great barbeque, and live music!

Blues, Brews, and BBQ will run from 1 – 6 pm Saturday, June 17th in downtown Philipsburg. If you would like to register for the BBQ competition you can reach out to Heidi at (406) 859-3353. OR, if you would just like to eat, BBQ will be served after the judging of the competition, starting at 5 pm. The cost to dig into the BBQ is $25 per person & $10 for kids 12 and under.

How about we turn out attention from the BBQ portion, and talk about the Brews part? You can be part of the Brewfest and enjoy beverages from breweries across Montana, for $30. That entry gives you a glass and access to all the brews present.

Last but not least, there will be live music from Missoula’s Wild Prairie Smoke.

So there you have it, a full day in the Burg, with beer, BBQ, and music. Sounds pretty perfect to me.
