There are a few holidays- If you were born and raised in Butte- that will always have special meaning. St. Pats, and the 4th. Both are days on the calendar, that a very large number of people try and get back to the Mining City to enjoy.

Heading back to town means looking for a place to stay.

Playing the part of your travel agent, I just jumped on Airbnb to see what was around for the 4th of July Holiday. I decided that you and your whole family (and friends) would really appreciate a place on Georgetown for a week or so. You can enjoy the lake and all it has to offer, then roll into Butte on the 3rd for the fireworks, hit the Butte and/or Anaconda parades, and spend a day or 2 in Philipsburg.

The first house is a short walk from the lake but does have a boat dock!

3 bedroom, 1 bath house, that sleeps 9.

The master bedroom has a king-size bed, and a Peleton bike (so you can lie to yourself and say you WILL do that 60-minute power zone ride while on vacation)

The next property that is still available on the lake is a stones throw from Denton's Point. According to the listing, it is a 3 bedroom townhouse, with 5 beds that sleeps 8 and has 2.5 bathrooms.

The unit has a washer/dryer, wifi, TV, all that lovely stuff. It also has some pretty fantastic views of Georgetown. (which in my opinion, is far nicer in the summer. That just looks COLD)

And how about one other in the Georgetown area?

This one is not on the lake, but does have a pretty fantastic view.

The view is the first true 'bonus' of this property, the other is it's size, this place is LARGE. 6 bedroom, 4.5 bath, 7 beds sleeping 10 comfortably. The house sits on 25 acres, and has wildlife visitors all year round.

There is a look at a few listings around Georgetown thinking they could be pretty fantastic for the 4th of July... but after looking at them, I could make an excuse to stay at all of them anytime this summer.

Here's another excuse to rent for a few days this summer. St. Timothy's is hosting a Summer Music Series, you can read more about it HERE.
