Juniper Creek a hit at Wednesday’s Lunch in the Park
With clear skies and temperatures in the upper 70s, conditions couldn't have been better for Wednesday afternoon's Lunch in the Park event at Emma Park in Uptown Butte.
The summer's second event in a series that will last through late August featured the very talented local trio Juniper Creek as the featured musical act and a bevy of the area's best food trucks.
Juniper Creek is fresh off of a stellar performance at last weekend's Montana Folk Festival and are riding high on the release of their debut EP. They did not disappoint the large crowd who was on hand. Juniper Creek is known for their beautiful three-part harmonies and alongside a single acoustic guitar the trio had the crowd clapping along to everything from the timeless Dolly Parton hit "Jolene" to Blink-182's "All The Small Things" and perhaps the world's only direct segue from Johnny Cash to Bowling For Soup. They also gave the audience a taste of their new EP release.
Lunch in the Park will continue next Wednesday with music from the Mauldin Brothers from 11:30am to 1:30pm.
