Orphan Girl Theater to premiere new play, host fundraiser gala
Fans of Alice in Wonderland will have a pair of events to look forward to as Butte's Orphan Girl Community Theatre is presenting "Alice: Down the Rabbit Hole", a local theater production premiering Friday evening and "The Mad Hatter's ParTea" fundraiser coming up on November 23rd.
NEW PLAY OPENS FRIDAY
"Alice: Down the Rabbit Hole" is a new twist on the Lewis Carroll classic, this exciting version directed by Elisabeth Crase. According to a release, "This fresh take on the classic tale is filled with excitement, whimsy, and a dash of magic. All your favorite characters—from the quirky Tweedles to the unpredictable Queen of Hearts—are back and ready for an unforgettable adventure."
The show will run on consecutive weekends beginning with Friday, November 8th's premiere at 6pm and matinees Saturday and Sunday at 1pm. The production will follow the same schedule next weekend, November 15th, 16th and 17th. Tickets are available here.
FUNDRAISER GALA NOVEMBER 23RD
The OGT crew is going to stick with the theme for their big fundraiser on November 23rd as they host "The Mad Hatter's ParTea" which will take place in the ballroom adjoining the Orphan Girl Children's Theatre. Cocktail Hour begins at 6pm and the gala will feature hors d'oeuvres, a live and silent auction. a no-host bar and a costume contest. Tickets are $35 and include entry into a raffle for a $1000 shopping spree presented by Ziply Fiber and are available here. Guests must be 18 years of age or older to attend and on-site childcare will be available. Tickets and information can also be found at orphangirl.org.
