One of Butte Central High School's athletic, academic and student leaders has announced his post-secondary plans, and they include a sport he loves and another Montana Catholic school close to home.  The following is a press release from Joshua M. Peck:

BUTTE, MT – Butte Central Catholic High School is proud to announce that Michael Peck has officially signed his commitment to continue his academic and football career at Carroll College. Michael, a two-year team captain and recipient of the Last Man Standing Award, was offered a position with the Carroll College Fighting Saints following his official visit on February 3. The Carroll coaching staff, led by Coach Troy Purcell, was drawn to Michael’s leadership, work ethic, and strong character, recognizing his alignment with NAIA’s School of Character values.

Coach Purcell shared his enthusiasm about Michael joining the team: “We are excited to add Michael to our football program. He is a hard worker, an outstanding young man, and possesses a great deal of promise as an athlete. He is a perfect fit for Carroll College.”

Michael Peck’s Accomplishments Beyond football, Michael is a dedicated student, leader, and musician:

  • ✔ Accepted to Carroll College in August 2024
  • ✔ Recipient of multiple academic and athletic scholarships
  • ✔ Boys Nation and Boys State participant
  • ✔ National Honor Society member
  • ✔ Student Council President at Butte Central Catholic High School
  • ✔ Talented musician in the BC Rock Band and the local band Hesitation
  • ✔ Dedicated community volunteer, mentoring young students and supporting local theater productions
