Another award for the Montana Tech Orediggers athletic staff.  The following is from the Montana Tech Sports Information Department:

HELENA, Mont. -- Montana Tech athletic trainer Trey Vincent has long been respected by Oredigger student-athletes and staff.

His peers around the Frontier Conference feel the same way. Tuesday, the league office announced Vincent as its athletic trainer of the year, selected by the head athletic trainers around the conference.

"We are extremely proud to recognize Trey as the Frontier Conference Athletic Trainer of the Year," Oredigger athletic director Matt Stepan said. "Trey serves our student-athletes with extraordinary care, professionalism, and integrity.

"His daily commitment to their wellbeing reflects the highest values of our department and our university," Stepan added. "Trey's work is a powerful example of what it means to live out Montana Tech's mission of creating opportunity through service, support, and pursuit of excellence."

Vincent primarily works with men's basketball, men's and women's track & field, and volleyball for the Oredigger athletic department but provides critical support to all 12 Montana Tech athletic programs.

His leadership is also present on the national level as the Frontier Conference's representative on the NAIA's Athletic Training Association Board.

Originally from Helena, Vincent holds a bachelor's in kinesiology-athletic training from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a master's degree in integrative human physiology from Central Washington University. He joined the staff at Montana Tech in 2019.

As the winner of the conference honor, Vincent is a finalist for the NAIA Athletic Trainer of the Year award. The winner of that accolade will be announced as part of NAIA Awards Day in September.
