OG Hempfest Brings Free Day of Music and Community To Butte

Butte is gearing up for a full day of music, food and community when OG Hempfest arrives Saturday, August 29.

The free event gets underway at noon at the Original Mineyard on North Main Street in Historic Uptown Butte with the big draw being that evening's free concert with legendary reggae group Inner Circle, whose international hits include "Sweat", "Games People Play", and the notorious "Bad Boys" which you have most definitely heard as the theme song from the TV show "Cops".

Inner Circle will headline a full day of music with multiple performers, local vendors and wonderful community sponsors.  Organizers are promising food trucks and vendors throughout the event along with giveaways and prizes being handed out throughout the day.  The festival is being billed as a relaxed, community-focused gathering desgned to bring people together for live entertainment, community spirit and, most importantly, a good time.

Admission is free, no advance tickets are required.  Organizers do, however, suggest arriving early for those who want a good spot near the front of the stage and to get the best offerings from vendors and food trucks.  Attendees are welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets and to spread out under what is hopefully a sunny day.

With the music beginning at noon and continuing throughout the day, OG Hempfest offers a chance for Southwest Montana residents and visitors alike to enjoy another great summer festival without an admission charge.

Whether you're coming for Inner Circle, the local vendors, the food or simply the atmosphere, OG Hempfest is shaping up to be a lively Saturday afternoon and evening in Uptown Butte.
