One thing that is practically a given in today's society is that when looking for a career, you are going to have better opportunities finding a high-paying career with a college degree than without one.  Another is that the price of a college education is not a small one and most students will graduate owing a large debt.  Any amount of financial assistance is helpful to students and families and right now, a very generous, renewable scholarship is available at Montana Tech, but you must act quickly if you want to be considered.  If selected, this scholarship is worth thousands.

The Ryan and Lisa Lance Scholars Program is providing the means to make an education at Montana Tech possible for more Montana students by providing 50 in-state students the opportunity to receive a $4,000 per year scholarship.  This scholarship is renewable for up to three years, a total of $16,000 in scholarship money.  The deadline to apply is February 15th and here are the criteria:

  • You must have a 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • You must be a resident of Montana.
  • The scholarship is open to incoming first-year or transfer students with plans to pursue a bachelor's degree.
  • You must complete the Lance Scholars Application (available on your personal URL at iam.mtech.edu.)
  • You must complete the FAFSA by February 1, 2025.

Scholarship recipients will be notified by April 1, 2025 and have until May 1 to accept.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Admissions Office at Montana Technological University by sending an email to admissions@mtech.edu or call (406) 496-4791.
