The following is a release from Logjam Presents:
Logjam Presents and the Missoula Symphony Orchestra are proud to announce the inaugural Symphony on the River – a brand new event blending the splendor of symphonic music with the beauty of Montana’s iconic outdoor venue, KettleHouse Amphitheater.
The first edition of this exciting collaboration will take place Saturday, August 30, 2025, featuring Madman Across the Water: The Music of Elton John — a dynamic symphonic tribute to one of the most celebrated artists of all time. This special performance will showcase the Missoula Symphony Orchestra alongside renowned vocalist Jean Meilleur of the acclaimed Jeans ’n Classics collective.
Known for their vibrant fusion of classic rock and full orchestral arrangements, Jeans ’n Classics has earned a global reputation for creating genre-bending concert experiences. With Jean Meilleur’s powerhouse vocals at the helm, audiences will be treated to fresh, orchestrated renditions of Elton John’s legendary catalog — including hits like “Rocket Man,” “Tiny Dancer,” and “Bennie and the Jets.”
"We’re thrilled to bring symphonic music to new audiences in a fresh, joyful, and unexpected way,” said Julia Tai. “Elton John’s music has touched so many lives, and we can’t wait to share this powerful performance with fans in such a stunning setting. The combination of a full orchestra, iconic songs, and the energy of the crowd at KettleHouse will make for an unforgettable night.”
Set along the Blackfoot River, KettleHouse Amphitheater offers an unparalleled environment for live music — and Symphony on the River promises to be one of the most unique and memorable events of the summer. The performance will be fully seated, with reserved stadium seating, reserved premium box seating, and general admission seated pit and lawn.
This show marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between the Missoula Symphony Orchestra and Logjam Presents, with plans to grow Symphony on the River into a flagship summer event that celebrates community, creativity, and the transformative power of live music.
