Local Veteran's Food Pantry Set to Host Fundraiser
For the SW Montana Pantry & Services Division, fundraisers have been an important aspect of making sure veterans in need, receive food and other accommodations. Their next event aimed to raise money and bring the community together is a Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser on Saturday, February 18th at the Deer Lodge Elks Lodge (230 Main Street, Deer Lodge). From 6 until 8 pm, enjoy spaghetti with all the fixings to include salad and garlic bread. No host drinks will be available through the Elks Lodge bar. The cost to feast is $10 for those 13 and older and $5 for children 6 to 2 years of age. Cost is only $30 for the whole family.

#Hulk Strong...Yes, those words appeared in response to a Facebook post I first saw in September 2020. The post spoke of the Mascot Miracles Foundation and how they received word of a 5-year-old boy battling cancer by the name of Hulk in Butte, Montana, who was a big fan of first responders. Soon after, I witnessed and was enamored by more posts created by Hulk's father, Michael, who revealed the courage of this incredible little boy, his community ventures, and his intrigue with first responders.
