The Wallflowers

Montana's premiere rock festival, Rockin' the Rivers, gets underway late Thursday morning at "The Bridge" on Highway 2 between Cardwell and Three Forks, Montana featuring three days of live rock music on two stages featuring Stone Temple Pilots, Hoobastank, The Wallflowers and Smashmouth along with some of the region's top local bands.

From grunge to nu-metal, pop-punk to Brit-rock and all the alternative stuff around it, the '90s were a great period for rock music.

You don't survive for more than 2 decades as an annual entertainment event in Montana unless you're doing a lot of things right and giving people a good experience. Especially if you're a music festival. Well, since 2001, Rockin' the Rivers has done that and more and has become one of the premiere music festivals in the Northwest. How? By bringing in great bands to a gorgeous natural environment and mixing that with accessible camping, an array of different food and merchandise vendors and thousands of rock fans ready to get down for 3 days in the Montana summer. It's a recipe for fun and organizers are gearing up for a big show this August.
