After last weekend's gritty 44-35 win over then #7 College of Idaho, the Montana Tech Oredigger football team has again moved up in the national rankings and now sit just outside of the top ten.
Somehow, we only have one game left in the Frontier Conference regular season, and equally surprising the final game will not affect conference standings no matter what happens.
With the unbalanced schedule in the Frontier, the Diggs have already played Western twice at Straugh, and Thursday will be the Bulldog’s lone trip to Butte this year.
This will be the third and final regular season matchup between the Orediggers and Bulldogs, though they could certainly see one another in the tournament.
Entering Saturday’s contest, the lady Bulldogs are riding an 11-game winning streak, dating back to their Frontier Conference opening loss at Carroll College on December 1st. Included in those 11 straight wins are 3 over current Top 25 teams.
