The Mining City's 13-and-14-year-old Junior League All-Star baseball team is headed to the Western Regional Tournament after capturing the Montana State Championship in Billings last weekend during the July 10-12 state tournament.  Your help is needed to help the team to a potential regional championship and memories that will last the rest of their lives as they prepare to take the exciting albeit expensive trek to Oregon.

The championship squad consists of players from Butte's Mile High and Northwest Little League programs and will now represent Montana in the Western Regional Junior Tournament in Bend, Oregon July 22nd through the 30th.

The Western Regional tournament brings together state champions from across the western United States including teams from Alaska, Arizona, Hawaii, Idaho, Nevada, Northern California, Southern California, Utah and host Oregon.  Butte will open tournament play against Nevada on July 23.

The stakes couldn't be higher as the tournament winner will advance to represent the Western Region at the Junior League Baseball World Series, scheduled for August 3rd through the 10th in Taylor, Michigan.

As our young state champs prepare for the trip, organizers are asking the community to help offset travel expenses so that the players and coaches can focus on the tournament and on representing Montana proudly on the regional stage.

Any contribution can help and can be sent via Venmo to @MileHighLittleLeague.  Contributions by check can also be made to Mile High Little League, P.O. Box 4144, Butte, MT 59701.  Mile High Little League is a registerd 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with Tax ID 81-0412553, making donations tax-deductible to to extent allowed by law.

Community support will help give these young athletes the opportunity to compete against some of the top Junior League teams in the West while proudly representing Butte and the state of Montana.  Those interested in supporting the team are encouraged to contribute before the squad departs for Oregon later this month.
