Here’s where to catch the Butte Central Maroons in action this week
The Butte Central Maroons will jump full speed into the winter sports season this week with extensive varsity and subvarsity action coming up for fans to enjoy. Here is a look at the Maroons' weekly activities schedule.
MONDAY, DECEMBER 16 - Butte Central's frosh boys and girls basketball teams will open their season against the Anaconda Copperheads with an afternoon doubleheader at the Maroon Activities Center. The girls tip off at 2:30pm with the boys following around 4pm.
TUESDAY, DECEMBER 17 - The frosh boys and girls will be back in action at the MAC to entertain the Park High School Rangers and this time, the JV teams will be getting in on the fun as well. The frosh girls game is set for 3pm with the boys to follow at 4:30. The JV girls tangle at 6pm and the JV boys game is set for 7:30.
FRIDAY, DECEMBER 20 - The Butte Central Wrestling Team will get their season started with an overnighter to Great Falls for the CMR Invitational with matches starting at 11am and going throughout the day. The boys and girls basketball teams will also be on the road overnight to compete in the Lockwood tipoff tourney. Both teams will face the Billings Central Rams, the girls at 1:30pm and the boys at 3pm.
SATURDAY, DECEMBER 21 - Butte Central's Swim Team enters the mix, competing at the Missoula Meet with time trials starting at noon. The wrestling team will enter Day 2 of the CMR Invitational with matches beginning at 9am. Basketball is back in action in Lockwood, this time with games against the Havre Blue Ponies. The girls tip off at 4pm with the boys following at 5:30.
