Butte Central to celebrate National Catholic Schools Week 2026
Butte Central Elementary School and Butte Central High School will be joining over 5.800 Catholic School and over 1.6 students in the United States in the celebration of National Catholic Schools Week 2026. This week-long celebration will begin this Sunday, January 25, 2026 and will continue through the following Friday, January 30th. Twenty three Catholic Schools here in Montana will join Butte Central in observance and celebration.
2026's national theme is "United in Faith and Community". This theme reflects the challenge of Pope Leo, who calls on Catholic Schools to prepare future leaders of the Catholic Church.
Throughout Catholic Schools Week, Butte Central Catholic Schools will hold a series of special events and activities to commemorate the week-long celebration. On January 25, Butte Central Catholic School parents will deliver "thank you" messages to parishoners.
Here are some of the events that the Butte Central Catholic School system are holding that are of public interest.
Tuesday, January 27th an All School Mass will take place at St. Ann's Church at 8:30am. Students from Butte Central Catholic High School and Butte Central Catholic Elementary will attend. The mass will be celebrated by Bishop Vetter and is open to the community.
Wednesday, January 28th, the Butte Central Education Foundation will hold it's annual Awards and Dedication Ceremony, taking place at 6pm at the Maroon Activities Center on Mercury Street just west of the Belmont Headframe. Volunteers, benefactors and alumni will be honored during the ceremony.
