Are you ready for Season 2 of the Butte Community Market?  I had the chance to chat with Heather, one of the organizers of the wonderful weekly event as she and her crew prepare for its season opener tomorrow afternoon.

The Butte Community Market is an evening Farmer's Market that will be held on Wednesdays from 4pm to 7pm through August 19th in the ice skating rink area at Clark Park.  While the main vendors will be congregated in that area, the evening event is so much more than that, with kids activities including the popular Splash Pad scheduled for operation, food vendors, entertainers and even a movie screening later in the evening.

Heather Silk-Wilson, the Market's organizer, is certainly exited about the opening and shared with us the list of vendors we can expect at the market.  "We have anything from frreeze-dried candy to body care, woodworking, metal work, jewelry, farm-fresh eggs, sourdough bread, salsa," she said, " we have a wide variety of vendors."

The Butte Community Market is more than just retail and trade--it's equally as focused on providing a welcoming space built around connection and community.  Whether you're a shopper or a vendor, you'll find community spirit along with the goods and people that make Butte and Southwest Montana so unique.

Many different events and themes are planned throughout the year and space remains for interested vendors.  If you would like to become a vendor or would just like more information please send and email to info@buttecommunitymarket.com and make plans to bring the whole family to the season opener late Wednesday afternoon at Clark Park, 1800 Wall St.
