Peoples announced on Twitter today that he will join the basketball program at the  College of Idaho in Caldwell, ID.  The College of Idaho recently won the 2022-23 NAIA National Championship.

Peoples will certainly bring firepower to the Yotes' lineup.  Their newest member, in addition to winning the Gatorade honor, has virtually rewritten the record books at Butte Central.  He is the school's all-time leading scorer.  He holds the record for most points scored in a single game.  And he is probably best known for the three-point buzzer-beater that gave his Maroons the 2021-22 State Championship.

This year, Peoples' Maroons took home the third-place trophy at the State Tournament while losing only two games all season long and only three games over the last 2 years.  This year, Peoples' 24.6 points per game led Class A as did his 85.1% accuracy from the free throw line.  It is safe to say that the C of I is getting a first-class player.

But it may be away from the court that Peoples' does his best work.  He has been described as polite and sincere.  His volunteer work speaks volumes on his character.  His quote after breaking Mike McLeod's single game record?  "My teammates did a great job of getting me the ball."  The College of Idaho is getting a winner.
