Eli Alexander “Featured Artist” reception Friday at Covellite
Friday night at the Covellite Theater and Uptown Lounge at 215 W. Broadway in Butte is going to shine the light on an up and coming young, local artist and afterwards they will give you the chance to take the spotlight yourself.
Eli Alexander is a multitalented 13-year-old who is December's Featured Artist. Eli's reception will be held from 5 to 7 pm and following that will be karaoke.
Eli is a self-taught artist who started out relatively recently. Here's what the Covellite's Facebook page has to say about him.
"Eli Alexander is a 13-year-old artist from Butte, Montana. Although he has always been creative, he didn't start painting until 2020. Primarily a self-taught artist, Eli has very much developed his own style for expressing himself. His vivid imagination, love of color, and exquisite attention to detail really elevate the depth of his work. He enjoys creating works that feature things he's never seen before, while also being influenced by science fiction, and monster and horror cinema. He is also a budding musician and writer."
Light refreshments will be available courtesy of the Pita Pit and beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase. Meet Eli and inquire about purchasing a print or having him create something one-of-a-kind for you or someone special. Eli's exhibit will be on display through the end of December.
Following Eli's reception is Karaoke Night where you are invited to kick off the holiday weekend with caroling or just belting out whatever they've got on the machine. Beer, wine, kombucha and sodas will be available for purchase and cards are accepted. Karaoke will start at approximately 7pm.
