If you're a fan of winter and all the activities and festivities that go along with it, then you'll love what organizers in Butte-Silver Bow County have planned for the community over the holiday break! Happening December 21st through the 23rd and then again December 26th through the 30th, the Butte-Silver Bow Parks and Recreation Department and the Butte Amateur Hockey Association are making it possible for family and friends to enjoy FREE skating and skate rentals at the Butte Community Ice Center (1700 Wall Street). All ages are welcome to get in on the action! Hours of operation for the FREE eight-day skating excursion are 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

With family and friends visiting during the holiday, this would be a great time to introduce them to the many amazing activities available in the surrounding area, including FREE skating and skate rentals at the Butte Community Ice Center. For those new to the rink, stretching before hitting the ice and ensuring your skates are good and tight around the ankles are important and basic rules. However, for those who have put their figure eight and hockey skills to the test for years, enjoy your time on the ice and maybe teach a friend or family member a thing or two!

For questions about the Butte Community Ice Center's Free skating and skate rental program this month, please reach out to Ed Heard from the Parks and Recreation Department at (406) 497-6571. You can also contact the Community Ice Center at (406) 782-2901. So dress warm, be safe, and have fun!
