Butte High and Butte Central springs sports in full swing this week
There will be lots of activity to enjoy on the local sports scene. Here's a look at what the Butte High Bulldogs and Butte Central Maroons have on tap this week.
TUESDAY, APRIL 16
The Butte Central Maroons will be hosting the Hamilton Broncs in baseball. The varsity contest is scheduled for a 3pm start at 3 Legends Stadium with the JVs to follow at 5pm. Butte High's basetball team will be at Belgrade with the JV game scheduled for a 3pm start and the varsity contest scheduled for 5pm. The Butte High Track team will be in action in a triangular meet against the Dillon Beavers and Butte Central Maroons which will get underway at 3pm at Bulldog Memorial Stadium. Butte Central's tennis team will be on the road playing in Belgrade with matches scheduled for a 3pm start as well.
WEDNESDAY, APRIL 17
No events scheduled.
THURSDAY, APRIL 18
The Butte High softball team will be in Great Falls to battle the CMR Rustlers with the JV contest scheduled for 2pm and the varsity game at 5pm. In track and field, the Butte High and Helena High frosh teams will meet at 3:30pm in Helena. The Butte Central track team will be on the road for a dual meet in Corvallis at 4:30pm and the Maroons baseball team will be at home against East Helena with the varsity game scheduled for 3pm at 3 Legends Stadium and the JVs to follow at 5pm.
FRIDAY, APRIL 19
The Butte High and Butte Central boys track and field teams will compete at the Dahlberg Invitational which gets underway at noon at Bulldog Memorial Stadium.
SATURDAY, APRIL 20
The Butte Central tennis teams will host a pair of Southwest A matches at Stodden Park. The Maroons will face the Corvallis Blue Devils at 10am and the Hamilton Broncs at 2pm. The Butte High Bulldogs will be competing in the Western AA Divisional in Missoula starting at 9am. The Butte High track and field teams will compete in the Optomist Meet in Great Falls which starts at 11am and the Butte High softball teams will be at home against Glacier with the varsity game at noon and the JV contest at 2pm at Stodden Park while the Bulldog baseball team will host Columbus at 3 Legends Stadium with the varsity game at 1pm and the JVs at 3pm.
