One of the most beautiful and historical landmarks, the Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel, will soon celebrate it's 7th birthday with a celebration that the entire community can enjoy.
This Saturday you are invited to a Mardi Gras party of sorts. No, we're not asking you to go all the way to the French Quarter of New Orleans, just down to Stodden Park and the incredible Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel where you will find this year's annual fundraiser, "Mardi Gras Magic".
It's pumpkin-carvin' time here in Butte and Southwest Montana. Needless to say, it is also pumpkin spice season once again and time to relish in all of the fall-specific seasonal treats like pumpkin pie, pumpkin rolls, well, the list goes on and on. With Halloween coming up on Thursday, this is also the specific time of year where the once bountiful supply of pumpkins that once could be found at our local Walmart and Safeway stores becomes bare and thin. Simply put, if you're reading this right now, you could be running out of time.
Whenever a car club hosts a car show you know it's going to be something special and when it's the oldest car club in Southwest Montana it can only be that much better. You are invited to join in the fun Wednesday evening as Pioneer Street Rods hosts KMBR's 4th Cruise Nite of the summer at Stodden Park just outside the Spirit of Columbia Gardens Carousel from 6 to 8pm.

Here in the year 2024, the literal stage will be set across several Southwest Montana parks and the players will be the men and women of Montana Shakespeare in the Parks with several upcoming performances scheduled in our area throughout the next several weeks.
Let's just say that if you like to watch softball, you're going to be in heaven in the days leading up to Mothers' Day 2024 as the Butte Central Maroons host the annual Laverne Combo Invitational next Friday and Saturday, May 10th and 11th. 5 fields will be used as 26 Montana high school softball teams from all over the state compete in a total of 48 games.
