Maroons host Tuesday Basketball doubleheader and more this week
The Butte Central boys and team's basketball teams will be in action Tuesday at the Maroon Activities Center for a varsity doubleheader that highlights a busy week of extracurricular activities.
TUESDAY
The Maroon boys are 1-3 over the last couple of weekends but Coach Brodie Kelly has to be pleased with his team's resilience in holding more than their own against two of Class A's best teams in Dillon and Frenchtown but in getting a big shorthanded win over Corvallis while battling pneumonia. The Maroons will be facing East Helena who is 4-7 overall but an impressive 4-2 in the Southeast A division with wins over Livingston and Laurel and a pair of victories over the Hardin Bulldogs. The Maroons are 5-7 overall with a 2-3 mark in the Southwest A. The boys game is scheduled for a 7:30pm start following the girls contest at 6pm. The BC girls have dropped two in a row to Dillon and Corvallis after a hard-fought home win over Hamilton and are 4-8 overall with a 3-3 mark in the conference. SUBVARSITY GAMES: The BC and East Helena frosh and JV boys teams will be playing at the Butte Civic Center at 3pm and 4:30pm respectively. The remaining games will be at the Maroon Activities Center with the frosh girls at 3pm and the JV girls at 4:30pm.
The Butte Central Swim Team will be in action Tuesday, 6pm at the Butte Family YMCA taking on the Butte High Bulldogs.
FRIDAY/SATURDAY
The Maroon Wrestling Team will head to Browning for the Western A Divisional which will run through Saturday.
On Friday, the girls basketball team will be hosting Stevensville at the Maroon Activities Center. The frosh play at 4:15pm, the JVs at 5:45pm and the varsity contest is at 7:15.
