One of the true benefits of living in such a pristine mountain region as Southwest Montana is the abundance of recreation opportunities that can be found regardless of the season.  Cross country skiing is one of best ways to get a winter workout and if you like to tailor your outings around winter beauty, the Mount Haggin ski trails near Anaconda and the Moulton trails north of Butte offer some of the most spectacular scenery in the world and are easily accessible to Nordic skiers of all ages and abilities.  Have you ever wanted to give Nordic skiing a shot but didn't know who to contact?  There is a fundraising event coming up that can introduce you to this wonderful sport and those who love it while also helping to maintain the Southwest Montana trails that are enjoyed by many.
