Basketball fans are in for a pair of high caliber doubleheaders this weekend at Kelvin Sampson Court as the Montana Tech Orediggers Men's Basketball Team hosts a pair of doubleheaders over the weekend featuring the Ottawa University of Arizona Spirit, the LC State Warriors and the Montana-Western Bulldogs.  Western and LC State will start things out Friday evening at 5pm followed by the Orediggers and OUAC.  On Saturday it will be Western vs. OUAZ at 5pm with Montana Tech and LC State battling it out at 7pm.

Montana Tech will come into play with a 3-0 record after besting Eastern Oregon 86-83 in the season opener and then heading to Dillon the following weekend and beating Southern Oregon 84-65 and Warner Pacific 84-58.

The Ottawa University Spirit are officially 1-0 after their season opening win over Northern New Mexico 72-68 but absorbed a 73-39 pounding by the University of Montana on Wednesday night in what was an exhibition game for OUAZ.

LC State, who is receiving votes in the preseason poll, is 1-1 after a season opening loss on the road to No. 2 Arizona Christian and a 103-57 home win over Northwest Indian College.

Montana-Western, though, may be the surprise of the young season, not only in the Frontier Conference but on the national stage as well.  The 4-0 Bulldogs opened the season on the road beating Evergreen 76-61 and then returning home to beat Warner Pacific 90-66 and No. 14 Southern Oregon 85-65, but it was their 96-69 dismantling of defending National Champion and top ranked College of Idaho that really got peoples' attention.
