Oredigger Men at #6 in latest NAIA Top 25 Coaches’ Poll

The Montana Tech Men's Basketball Team continues to make waves in the NAIA Men's Top 25 Coaches' Poll.  Here is a look at this week's rankings which were released earlier today and provided by the Montana Tech Sports Information Department.

Dropped from Top 25: Oregon Tech, Mobile (Ala.), Cumberlands (Ky.), Oklahoma City

Receiving Votes: Dalton State (Ga.) 69, Spring Arbor (Mich.) 61, Columbia International (S.C.) 41, William Woods (Mo.) 36, Indiana Northwest 35, Oregon Tech 33, Mobile (Ala.) 18, Indiana Tech 17, Hope International (Calif.) 16, Cumberlands (Ky.) 15, John Brown (Ark.) 14, Rocky Mountain (Mont.) 14, Xavier (La.) 11, St. Francis (Ill.) 7, Cornerstone (Mich.) 4, West Virginia Tech 3, Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) 2

Rating Methodology:

• The NAIA Men's Basketball Poll is for publicity purposes only and has no weight or bearing in the selection process for national championship field consideration
• The poll was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and Continental Athletic Conference (Independents)
• The Top 25 is determined by a points system based on how each voter ranks the best teams. A team receives 30 points for each first-place vote, 29 for second place and so on through the list
• The highest and lowest ranking for each team (a non-rating is considered a low ratings) is removed
• Teams that receive only one point in the ballot are not considered "receiving votes"
• Frequency of polls occur bi-weekly
• Records listed are as of the end of the day on Monday of the poll week
