Another busy weekend at home for Oredigger men’s basketball, football

It's a good time to be an Oredigger.  Both the men's basketball team and football team are ranked in the national top ten and both have a big weekend on tap with the hoops squad hosting a mini-tournament and the football program wrapping up their regular-season with a huge game.

MEN'S BASKETBALL

After rolling over Northwest University and Jamestown University at home last week, the Oredigger men will be playing host to California Maritime this evening at 7pm and to Lewis-Clark State at 7pm tomorrow in the Comfort Inn Fall Classic.  Carroll College will play both evenings at 5pm, swapping opponents with the Orediggers.

Montana Tech is 4-0 on the season and is featuring last week's Frontier Conference Offensive Player of the Week in guard Camdyn LaRance and the conference's Defensive Player of the Week in forward Ifeyani Okeke.  Montana Tech is ranked #7 in the nation.

The Cal Maritime Keelhaulers are 1-1 on the season with their win, a dominating win over West Coast Baptist, 135-86, and a loss at #16 Oregon Tech, 99-80.

The LC State Warriors are currently ranked #22 in the nation and are 3-0 on the young season with wins over Haskell Indian Nations University, 91-68, Dickinson State, 81-79, and Frontier member University of Providence, 93-73.

Carroll College comes into the weekend at 2-3 overall with all of their contests at home.  They began the season with wins over Bushnell, 95-86 and #16 Oregon Tech, 83-78 but have lost 3 straight, falling to #6 Arizona Christian, 79-84, Eastern Oregon 94-100 and Southern Oregon, 84-92.

Here is the rundown of gametimes:  FRIDAY:  Carroll vs. LC State, 5pm; Montana Tech vs. Cal Maritime, 7pm.  SATURDAY:  Carroll vs. Cal Maritime, 5:30pm; Montana Tech vs. LC State, 7:30pm.  All games are at Kelvin Sampson Court in the Montana Tech HPER.
