Montana Tech to host a Materials Engineering Camp
Montana Technological University is hosting a summer Metallurgical and Materials Engineering camp for High School students. The camp will be held on the Campus of Montana Tech from June 18th – June 23, 2023.
The Metallurgical and Materials Engineering program at Montana Tech is a program for the inquisitive at heart. If you need to know how things work, and if you are strong in math and science this could be the program for you.
Please bear with me when I say, I always feel that Metallurgy and Materials is a degree that most people aren’t exactly sure what they study and what they do in a real-world setting. This camp will answer all those questions and prepare you for what is possible in this program. Clean energy, and electronic and biomedical advances are all possible ways you can impact the world with a Metallurgical degree, and this is just a sliver of the possibilities.
With a Bachelor of Science degree from Montana Tech the job placement is at 100%. Corporations and businesses are crying out for Metallurgic grads, especially Montana Tech Metallurgic grads. So again a 100% job placement upon graduation, starting salary 70-85K, and while in school most students have 2-3 internships, creating strong relationships in the working world.
The camp is for 16 & 17-year-old Montana High School students. It is a week-long residential program. The program will feature hands-on learning in the incredible materials labs on campus, it will also include field trips, visits to local industrial operations, and several guest speakers. The camp is free of charge but does have a very limited capacity, so interested students should apply as soon as possible. Applications must be in by April 1st, successful applicants will be notified by April 10th.
You can register via the Montana Tech Website.
