I can't speak for everyone but if there were one event that speaks directly to my heart, it has to be this weekend's Mother Loaded festival that is taking place this Saturday and Sunday just outside the Mother Lode Theater at 315 W. Park Street.  There is nothing not to love about food trucks and with food trucks oftentimes comes great music. Check on both counts.  How about adding a trading card show to the mix?  Well, that's happening too.  It's all going on from 11am to 7pm on Saturday, 11am to 5pm on Sunday, or until the food runs out.

I've been collecting different types of cards since I was a kid in the 80s.  Back then, I loved basketball and football cards.  I still have a few.

My thing now?  Pilots trading cards that some pilots will give you if you ask nicely on your next flight.

I can't wait to see what's going to be on display this weekend.  But that's just the beginning.  Let's talk about the live music. On Saturday, Chad Okrusch will be performing from noon to 1pm and then it's Jordan Lane from 1:30pm to 3pm.  Charlie Apple is on the weekend bill as well.

Discontinued McDonald's items tell the story of eight decades of quiet experiments, from a pizza that took too long to cook to a lobster roll that never made financial sense.
