Rocket to Uranus playing Butte’s Music on Main Thursday Evening

Music on Main is back Thursday night with what is almost undeniably the most eclectic band of the 2026 lineup.

Rocket to Uranus, from Montana by way of one of our Solar System's distant members according to their website, will bring a high-energy show that features plenty of audience engagement with "a mix of surf instrumentals, pop tunes, movie themes, original songs, and garage/punk/frat-core/psychedelic melodies guaranteed to get audiences of all ages out of their seats and dancing."  Expect Carnaby Street-inspired costumes and even obscure multimedia clips to accent the eccentricities.

The band fires up at 6pm in front of the M&M on Main Street and another night of food trucks, foam and fun is expected along with a slew of vendors.  Again this week, the first 50 or so kids on site will be given a free $5 food truck voucher compliments of TDS Fiber and if the weather is nice you can bet that the foam machine will be in operation so remember to bring towels for the kids.  Complimentary Shirley Temples will be given to the kids compliments of Northwestern Energy.  For the adults, Butte Brewing Company is expected to provide an array of refreshing beverages

Again, attendees are reminded that outside coolers and pets are not allowed at Music on Main so please leave them at home but remember to bring your lawn chair, your appetite and your dancing shoes because this band is coming to Butte to party and this night is going to be fun for the entire family.
