It will be the Frontier Conference verses the Cascade Collegiate Conference and the Continental Athletic Conference in consecutive evenings of men's basketball starting tonight at Kelvin Sampson Court in Montana Tech's HPER Complex.  The University of Montana-Western Bulldogs and the host Montana Tech Orediggers will be entertaining the Southern Oregon University Raiders and the Northern New Mexico College Eagles in what should be an exciting preview of what fans can expect during the upcoming season.

Games start this evening at 5pm as Montana Western takes on Southern Oregon.  The Bulldogs, after suffering an exhibition loss to MSU-Billings is 2-0 after taking down Eastern Oregon 70-57 last weekend in Dillon followed by a 61-44 win over Dickinson State.  The Bulldogs are led by first-year head coach Patrick Jensen who has spent six seasons as an assistant after a successful playing career at MSU-Northern.  Southern Oregon is winless in two contests.

The #6 Montana Tech Orediggers are unbeaten in three contests so far this season after a 116-43 exhibition win over Portland Bible College October 27 in Butte, and two wins in Dillon last weekend, a 70-56 win over Dickinson State and a 78-65 triumph over Eastern Oregon.  The Orediggers are the overwhelming preseason favorite to win the Frontier Conference and are under the tutelage of Adam Hiatt who begins his eighth season as the Diggers' Head Coach.  The Orediggers will face Northern New Mexico College (1-2) at 7pm.

Tomorrow evening, Montana Western will take on Northern New Mexico College at 5pm and the Orediggers will wrap things up against Southern Oregon at 7pm.  Doors at the HPER will open at 4pm as general tickets sales begin.  Click here for information on season tickets.
