One of the best events of the summer, Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Butte's annual "Rhythm and Brews" Festival gets underway at noon Saturday at the Original Mine Yard and will run until late in the evening featuring everything from a huge car show, live music from 4 different acts, a kids play area and, of course, a wide selection of microbrews and more to help keep you cool on a hot late summer day along with some of the area's best food trucks and even yoga and exercise.

There is no entry fee to enter the car show and registration begins at 10am.  For that matter, entry into the festival itself, also free.  For those who want to stay fit while enjoying the activities, Rooted Tribe Yoga will have a session running from noon to 2pm followed by Pit Fitness from 2pm to 4:30pm

Quite the selection of food trucks are signed up for the festival including Extra Sprinkles, Charee's Thai Food, Jordi's Cantina, Frying Saucer and Sweet Petites.  The kids area?  Well, the youngsters will have the opportunity to create bracelets and suncatchers throughout most of the festival, from noon to 6pm.  The Science Mine will be in action from 1pm to 3pm, the famous Foam Machine will be in operation along with face painting from 3pm to 5pm.

As one of Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Butte's biggest fundraisers of the year, there will be many raffles and drawings happening throughout the event.  Live music will start at 1pm with Hesitation.  John Montoya will perform from 2:30pm to 4pm.  False Fiction is on from 4 to 6 and High Ore Road will close out the evening from 6pm to 8pm.
