Music fans looking for something a little different will have a chance to experience it firsthand when Dirty Cello rolls into The Covellite, 215 W. Broadway, this Saturday, June 27.

The San Francisco-based group is scheduled for a 7:30pm performance time with the doors opening at 6:30.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 the day of the show.  The all-ages performance promises and evening packed with energy, musicianship and a sound that challenges expectations.

At the heart of the band is Rebecca Roudman, a crossover cellist who has built a reputation for transforming the cello into a lead instrument capable of delivering everything from gritty blues and Americana to full-throttle rock and roll.  Rather than serving as a background instrument, the cello becomes the driving force behind the band's distinctive style.
