Heavy riffs, psychedelic grooves and full-volume energy are headed to Uptown Butte this week as Word of Mouth and The Covellite present Samvega with Eligy Prime this Friday, June 19.

The show will take place at The Covellite, 215 W. Broadway, with doors opening at 7pm and music starting at 8pm.  Advance tickets are $8, while tickets at the door will be $15.

For Southwest Montana fans of loud, immersive rock music, this lineup promises a memorable and fun night.  Samvega, a four-piece band from California's Napa Valley and San Francisco's North Bay, has built a strong reputation for explosive live performances that mix heavy psych rock, fuzzed-out grooves and hard rock intensity with expansive psychedelic textures.  Their sound leans into the type of music that feels both hypnotic and unpredictable and their set pulls in a crowd and keeps the energy high from start to finish.

Eligy Prime is on the bill as well and will round out a night designed for a packed room and a late-night atmosphere.

The Covellite has become a go-to venue in Butte for touring underground, indie and experimental acts and this show continues that trend with a lineup aimed squarely at fans of heavier psychedelic rock.

Planners say the concert is ideal for anyone who likes rock music that is loud, immersive and a little off-center.
