What started out a few years ago with only a handful of vendors and service providers has turned into one of Southwest Montana's biggest shopping events of the year, even if it's a few days before Black Friday.  This year's event will feature many of the original vendors but since its inception it has grown by leaps and bounds and is expected to feature nearly 140 booths.  It's the Winter Bazaar and Trade Show and it's this Saturday and Sunday at the Butte Civic Center.

The Winter Bazaar and Trade Show is a great way to get a head start on your holiday shopping if not a way to get it completed altogether.  It's also quite the social event and one that is eagerly anticipated year after year.  What makes it special is the wide variety of goods, services and confectionary you'll find along with a few surprises at very reasonable prices from vendors and small businesses from right here in Southwest Montana.  Many of these businesses are home-based and on a small scale, particularly the pie, candy and confectionary booths.  Have you been missing Grandma's divinity or holiday cookies?  Chances are pretty good you'll find something very similar at the Civic Center this weekend.

It's not just sweets and goodies, though.  You'll find tradesmen and home improvement booths.  Entertainment and electronics.  Clubs and organizations for both kids and adults.  Local artists will be on hand with their works.  You're going to find virtually something for everyone and admission is free but remember to bring a nonperishable for the Butte Emergency Food Bank.  Hours are 9am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 3pm on Sunday.  For further details, please call (406) 497-6400.
