Across the nation it's been a tradition in the making, so it's no wonder Butte and the surrounding area will become part of this honorary event on July 25th at Butte's Stodden Park, 10 am until 4 pm!

The topic of great importance?...The very symbolic Wreaths Across America program! It's a Mobile Education Exhibit in partnership with the Daughter's of the American Revolution (DAR), making stops across America to honor the men and women who have served our country. Since 1890, DAR has rallied together to spread awareness of education, independence and patriotism. According to the Silver Bow Chapter, the idea behind the Wreaths Across America program in correlation with DAR, is to remember the fallen, teach the value of freedom to children, and continue to honor those who have served in the United States military.

A veteran's wreath can be sponsored at wreathacrossamerica.org. As a symbol of honor, victory and respect, each wreath sponsorship will make available, an authentic, balsam wreath, for placement on the headstone of an American veteran who will always be remembered by family, friends colleagues and fellow service men and women. Again, symbolic wreaths to honor veterans is set to happen Monday, July 25th at Butte's Stodden Park (3103 Utah Avenue) 10 am to 4 pm. Come for festivities planned throughout the day or stop by to pay tribute to a special veteran in your life. Outside of the Butte area, find out what you can do to help celebrate this important event by visiting wreathsacrossamerica.org. A commemorative wreath...thought provoking and a classic tradition.
