Durkin, Wall take home People Choice Awards at Cruise Nite #2
Threatening storm clouds loomed in the near distance throughout the afternoon and early evening here in the Mining City on Thursday but it was not enough to deter a huge crowd from showing up to Rocky Mountain Car Wash on Harrison Avenue for KMBR's second Cruise Nite of the summer. In the end, everyone stayed dry and had a great evening of classic cars and classic rock.
We filled two separate parking areas with some of Southwest Montana's coolest classic cars and trucks who were in competition for the Peoples Choice Award which was given to the top vote-getter in the Car/Truck category and the Motorcycle category. Check out some of the coolest entries in the 4-wheeled division.
We had a great turnout of motorcycles too.
A big shout out to Turk's Food Truck and Extra Sprinkles who were on hand to feed and refresh the hot and hungry masses who showed up in force.
After the hundreds of votes were tallied, two winners were crowned. Jim Durkin was the winner of the Peoples Choice Award for motorcycles with his 2007 Harley Davidson Superglide and we had a repeat winner in the Car/Truck category as Joe Wall again took home the trophy, along with a nice basket from Rocky Mountain Car Wash, with his classic 1976 Datsun 280z.
