Music has an uncanny way to connect events and memories. Music has its own way of bringing together people with otherwise little in common, but this thread alone can spawn beautiful, lifelong friendships. But with life, as it is with music, the song always comes to an end. Last Saturday's Butte Rock Fest, a huge success in its own right, perhaps inadvertently reminded us that life is fragile.

The Butte Depot at 818 S. Arizona will be the site of the Butte Rock Fest on Saturday, July 1 and this is going to be a really good one. Some of the biggest Mining City rock bands from the 80's and 90's will be reuniting and sharing the stage with some of Butte's most talented groups that are performing today.

Country star Morgan Evans will be performing in Butte at the Original Mineyard on Monday, July 3, before the fireworks.

If you want live music, you will have all that and then some this weekend here in Butte

Coming to the Butte Civic Center on April 29 it is "Fight Kingdom" which will bring mixed martial arts back to what is to be expected to be a receptive Southwest Montana audience.

The league will start on Friday, January 20th, and run for 7 weeks in total. The entire schedule will be played at The Butte Depot starting at 7 pm every Friday.

Here it is! Just in time for Halloween, another selection of terrifying and ghoulishly fun events to check out this week in the surrounding area! These local ghastly parties & haunted tours have something for everyone...well, almost everyone! Be selective as events listed are not for children 12 years of age or younger! For the rest of us, time to buck up and prepare to get scared out of our wits. If you're more about costume contests and partying the night away, then so be it!
