Oredigger Volleyball

Oredigger fans will have a full plate this weekend as hockey, football and volleyball programs all have home events this weekend.

It's a good week to be an Oredigger. In addition to going 4-0 at the Frontier Preseason Tournament and holding down the #11 ranking in the NAIA, a pair of Diggers gained recognition as a Player of the Week.

After a successful opening weekend, going undefeated in the Big Sky Classic volleyball tournament, the 15th ranked Montana Tech Volleyball Team will certainly be moving up in the national rankings. The Orediggers attack was led over the weekend by Olivia Muir who earned the season's initial Erck Hotels/Frontier Conference Attacker of the Week award with some impressive statistics.

The Orediggers will be hosting the Big Sky Volleyball Challenge with games today at two locations, Kelvin Sampson Court in the HPER Complex and the Maroon Activities Center, and tomorrow at the HPER. The challenge features two other Frontier Conference teams and six top programs from across the country.

Maureen Jessop led the Montana Tech volleyball team to a win over Carroll College Wednesday night at Kelvin Sampson Court in the Montana Tech HPER in Butte.
