How to watch Cat/Griz 2.0 in the Mining City
You need not be a lifelong Montanan to realize that any time the Montana State University Bobcats meet the Montana Grizzlies emotions are going to run high, particularly when it's on the gridiron. Even when the game means nothing in the standings, a season can be salvaged with a win in the Cat/Griz game. For the last several years though, the game has had huge implications towards the Big Sky Conference Championship and playoff seedings and that certainly was the case this year. The Bobcats beat the Grizzlies by 3 to claim the conference championship but both teams advanced to the playoffs. Now they meet again and at stake is a berth in the National Championship game.
The two Montana schools have never met in the playoffs before and needless to say that the excitement amongst fans is as high as the stakes of the game itself which will be played at 2pm at Bobcat Stadium in Bozeman. Ticket availability can be checked online at montanastate.evenue.net or by calling the Bobcat Ticket Office at (406) 994-2287. Pre-sale for MSU Athletics supporters and those who have previously purchased tickets to previous Bobcat football games this season will begin Tuesday, December 16th at 10am and general sales to the public will begin on Wednesday at 1pm.
If you don't get a ticket, the game will be broadcast on Southwest Montana's home for the Bobcats all season long, KXTL which can be heard at 1370AM and 94.7FM. The game will also be carried on our local ABC affiliate KWYB.
