Cruise Nite at Ace Hardware a hit
We'll admit the early clouds gave us a bit of concern, but the raindrops were scarce and the classic cars, trucks and motorcycles were great in number as our fourth Cruise Nite of the season went off without a hitch at Ace Hardware of Butte on Wednesday evening. Didn't make it out? Here is a look at what you missed.
Again this week our listeners were in competition for the Peoples Choice Award which we give away each Cruise Nite for the top vote-getting car/truck and motorcycle. This week and for each Cruise Nite through the end of the season our winners will take home a pair of tickets to September 10th's Tom Keifer Band/L.A. Guns concert at the Butte Civic Center.
After all of the votes were tallied our winner in the motorcycle category was Gage Lunler and his 1969 Triumph Chopper and in the car/truck category it was Ed Hall and his gorgeous pink 1967 Cadillac which even had a mini version in the trunk alongside the spare tire.
It's hard to believe but we are down to our final two Cruise Nites of the summer with our next one set for August 20th at Stodden Park in the parking lot adjacent to the Carousel with our friends from Pioneer Street Rods. A big thank you once again for the stellar crew at Butte's Ace Hardware for being such wonderful hosts last night to all who came out for Cruise Nite.
