As we head into mid-August, there is no shortage of fun things for the whole family taking place here in the Mining City.  Here are a few things of which to take note.

WEDNESDAY - CRUISE NITE AT STODDEN PARK

It's our 2nd to the last Cruise Nite of the summer and it takes place at Stodden Park, just outside of the carousel, this Wednesday starting at 6pm.  Get there early if you want to register your classic car, truck or motorcycle.  We will be awarding the People's Choice trophy to the top vote-getter in the 2-wheel and 4-wheel category and each winner will also take home a pair of tickets to see the Tom Keifer Band with special guests L.A. Guns on September 10th at the Butte Civic Center.

THURSDAY - MUSIC ON MAIN WITH BASKETBALL JONES

Music on Main gets back to it's Butte roots with Basketball Jones, a power trio playing classic rock with a harder edge to it.  In addition to the food trucks and vendors who will be on hand, Basketball Jones will delight rock fans with three of the finest musicians to ever come out of Butte, Pete Heidt on guitar, Scott Murphy on bass and Wally Jemmings behind the drum kit with all sharing vocal duties.  Bring your lawn chairs and don't forget towels for the kids foam machine but please leave your pets anc coolers at home

SATURDAY - RADER BROTHERS CAR SHOW AT BUTTE DEPOT

It's a big week for car shows as the 2nd Annual Rader Brothers Car Show takes place at the Butte Depot at 818 S. Arizona.  The event runs from 10am until 6pm with raffles, a 50/50, food and drinks as well as live music from the Berkeley Pits.  Cars, trucks and motorcycles are welcome and there is no fee for entry or registration.  Proceeds from the event will to to the Montana Hope Project.
