Butte Bulldogs Compete In Exciting Week Of Fall Athletics

School is back in session and fall activities are in full swing at Butte High School. Here is where you can find the Bulldogs athletic teams in action this week.

FOOTBALL

The Bulldogs will be on the road for week 2 of the Class AA football season facing the Billings Skyview Falcons at Daylis Stadium on Thursday. The JV contest is set for 2pm while the varsity game will start at 6pm. On Saturday, the frosh will compete in the Belgrade Jamboree.

GIRLS FLAG FOOTBALL

It will be a busy week for Coach John Stenson and the Butte High Girls Flag Football Team. On Wednesday the varsity squad will be home for a pair of contests, the first against Kalispell-Flathead at 2pm and then Missoula Big Sly at 3:30pm. Saturday the full squad heads to Boulder for games against the Jefferson High School Panthers and the Three Forks Wolves. Against JHS, the varsity contest is at 9am and the JV game at 10am. Against Three Forks, the varsity game is at 11am and the JV game is at noon.

GOLF

Tuesday the Bulldog Varsity will be in Bozeman at the Riverside Country Club with play starting at 9am. On Wednesday they will be back in Bozeman at Cottonwood Hills with play starting again at 9am, while the JV program will be competing in Dillon at the Beaverhead Course starting at 10am.

CROSS COUNTRY

Friday the Bulldog Cross Country teams will be competing at the Belgrade Invitational with races beginning at 10am.

VOLLEYBALL

On Tuesday, the Dillon Beaver sub varsity teams come to town to tangle with the Frosh-Whites at 4:15pm and the sophomores at 5:30. On Saturday, the varsity will be at the Belgrade Crossover taking on Billings Skyview at 11am, Billings West at 12:15, Billings Senior at 1:30pm and Belgrade at 2:45.

SOCCER

On Saturday the Bulldogs will host Helena Capital at Bulldog Memorial Stadium. The boys varsity match is at 10am with the girls varsity and boys JV contests set for noon.
