BMX – Butte Music Experience, Aberdeen Alley rock Music on Main opener
If there was any question about the future of live music in Butte, America, it was answered in thundering fashion Thursday evening in Uptown Butte as BMX - Butte Music Experience, an incredibly talented contingent of young Butte rockers opened the 2025 Music on Main series while an older, talented and fast-rising Butte band, Aberdeen Alley closed out a fantastic evening of music, food, dancing and summer fun in front of a large and enthusiastic crowd.
BMX - BUTTE MUSIC EXPERIENCE
Simply put, these kids blew the crowd away. BMX - Butte Music Experience is a group of kids who love music and have been meeting regularly, practicing and learning. Many may have expected an amateur-level act but instead they got a polished set that rivals those of our town's older, more established bands. From the Cranberries to Joan Jett, BMX showed that the future of live music in Butte is in young but very capable hands. Look for them again this August at the Butte-Silver Bow County Fair at the Butte Civic Center and at the summer's final Music on Main event on August 28th.
ABERDEEN ALLEY
Main Street was turned into Aberdeen Alley for a couple of hours as this talented Butte quintet opened things up with a harmonious rendition of the Beatles "Come Together", dove into some Incubus and kept the crowd engaged and dancing. Between their originals and tasteful selection of covers, look for this group around town throughout the rest of the summer. You will not be disappointed.
Music on Main continues next Thursday with a performance by Sterling Drake.
