John Stenson to entertain today’s Lunch in the Park crowd
Butte's Emma Park will once again be the site of Lunch in the Park this Wednesday with live music, good company and some of Southwest Montana's best food trucks on site.
Last week's season opener started out with sunshine but unfortunately a sudden thunderstorm brought the music and the festivities to a screeching halt. Hopefully Mother Nature will cooperate with us on Wednesday as John Stenson is set to play from 11:30am to 1:30pm. Stenson has been one of the Mining City's favorite singers/guitarists for over three decades and his extensive catalog of rock, country, classics and surprises will be perfect for the lunchtime crowd.
In addition to the great music, those in attendance will be able to choose from an eclectic mix of food trucks ranging from healthy snacks to indulgent delights. Vendors will start serving food at 11:30 although guests are welcome to bring their own coolers or picnic baskets or to even enjoy lunch from one of the many nearby Uptown restaurants. Since the weather is expected to be very pleasant you can also count on the "Foam Machine" to be in use so remember to bring towels and maybe even swimsuits for the youngsters. Although kids and families are welcome to attend, organizers ask that you please leave your pets at home.
Lunch in the Park is a service of the Butte Parks and Trails Department and is getting a lot of help from great local sponsors like TDS Fiber and Town Pump. We'll see you at the park.
